This horse, are they relative to the other horses of India? Because they are having the same type of ears? Yes, it is the ear factor again :-) but I really like it! Or is it something, that India want's to create, because they like it?
Look at this! They can trot really fast :-) speedy Gonzales!!
Are the hind feet hobbled or tied like that? (I noticed in another photo the same tying of a rope around the rear feet of the horses.) Does anyone know the purpose of this? I don't like to jump to conclusions or make assumptions, but it looks a little horrific to my eyes. Yet, these horses and their people's customs are unfamiliar to me too.
I just asked your question of a co-worker, who is from India. He said he's seen several donkeys tied in this manner. According to him, it's a common way for Indians to tie donkeys.
And, looking closely at the marks on the lower pasterns of the forelegs of the horses in pictures 400-ghori-main & Sindhi Horse 1 I cannot help but wonder are they a consequence of hobbling/tying or are they some sort of decoration?
Really nice, is that the cremello color, or is it just white?
AntwortenLöschenNormally when it is a cremello they got blue eyes, but this one has dark eyes?

AntwortenLöschenHi Romy,

Yes, it seems so. Also in the picture of the horses under a shelter, their hind legs are tied. I don't like it.

AntwortenLöschenIt looks like a decoration in that picture. The horse's costume is very elaborate and I think he has bracelets on his front legs.
