The whole world was speaking about those two female eleves in the SRS. But in Piber already female riders were working.... in the pleasant silence of the stud.
One of them was Charlotte Dobretsberger. Dedicated to horses from birth. Very successful youth dressage and eventing rider, not only in Austria but also in the international circuit. Several times youth champion of Austria. Last April she won the CIC** in Kreuth (Germany) with her self trained Excalibur MT, where she beat the complete German national eventing team.
Since last year she was training the young stallions, which remained in Piber. And was the only privileged to ride the SRS-stallions during this breeding season.
Last February she was asked by the SRS to join the dressage trainer course. During the exam she had to ride Neapolitano Pastime, the famous Lipizzaner stallion of Director Ernst Bachinger in all exercises. She passed gloriously.
A promising talent, with a great future in the company !
Unfortunately last week she was fired. Instantly, without any notification. Simply due to cost-cutting.

She will be missed in Piber.. and I will miss her in Piber.

What beautiful photos, Atjan. And such a terrible shame she was let go. These photos and her story put a face to the sobering situation at Piber.
AntwortenLöschenSuch a shame. But I believe everything happens for a reason, she is clearly meant for a different future than one with the SRS. A rider with that talent will not be overlooked.
