Hi and thanks so much!! I am crazy about them! My friend is a photographer and she happened to catch them running around outside and got some pretty shots. There are two friesians - Ironman is technically my mother's horse but she has generously allowed me to "steal" him! My friesian is Doekele who is the one I am riding in the picture. He is phenomenally lazy!! The white horse is Marc O'Polo from my Young Riders day.
why oh why oh why do we continunly see horses working in totaly unnatural shapes!!! its shocks and saddens me to see fabulous animals "held together" in vastly overbent and unnatural mid crest height poll height seems to be a standard of the past ! the little grey horse although his poll is indeed forced to follow the line of direction of movement the nose is twisted outward against the true straight forward direction this can also be clearly seen in the fact that the inside ear is actualy lower than the outside which proves the strain through the poll this horse it actualy crooked! these poor horses. !!!!
Bobby, I know you have very decided opinions about horses. I would really like to see some pictures of horses being ridden/worked that you feel are correct. Could you post some?
We would all like to believe we are a close comfy community of people who drink from the same koolade bowl and all, but...there is a pattern of member A responding after member B posts almost like clockwork for no other apparent reason than to offend that member.
So if you respond for no other apparent reason than to offend a member not even for the purpose of furthering a specific discussion I will view that as a violation!
I will try Romy but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find them. but I do have a total problem with this "modern" overbending of the younger horses It is going to be interesting for me on the second weekend of august this year when I am attending with one of my longterm students with her elementry hanovarian lad also attending will be 5 other clients with their horses I think It might be a good idea for me to take down a camera and send you pictures of them as they all attend the Scottish Dressage Nationals, I promise I will share these! and look forward to your comments I am always up for learning and I mind is always very wide open I just hate bad Horsemanship! its really as simple as that! I am not an agressive or unpleasant person in any way as my lifelong friends would certainly affirm and I do have to add that I usualy find this site very agreeable perhaps my problem is that I can on accasion be a little tactless ! I am sorry for that, but I retract none of my comments made in the past posts in this site.
Ps Andreas I think that comment you made is cruel I have no problem with you And I respect you. I do not come in here to cause trouble merely to cause debate.
