It was absolutely phantastic, especially to see it twice and in that having the possibility to watch some of the horses and riders on two following days. It is (for me) so obvious that the magic of the partnership between horse and rider cannot be written down, but even a week later there are still so many impressions of some of these wonderful "small moments" - the facial expression of C. Dagmar on saturday in the passage on the centre line, a short "it was better, wasn´t it?" look (after a capriole) from the rider to his colleagues (standing on the side of the riding arena), the play of the ears of the horse of Oberbereiter Krzisch (F. Biserka?) in the Schulquadrille and so on. I´m so sorry, but I would really be happy to find the correct words to describe the "technical perfection" of almost every rider and horse, but not only on this page are so many people knowing much more about horses than me that it is the only way to say - I will never forget the eyes of these horses in my life. Thank you.
Lovely, lovely photos. Perhaps someday a touring company will be able to come back to the western US. And you're sooo correct, Brigitta, their eyes are incredible.
