Kia ora, hello, from Gail Hamilton of New Zealand with a wee Lipizzaner herd in the South Island.
I was excited to see photos of the SRS horses, as I am researching pedigrees and looking for links to horses in Australasia.
My locally bred horses descend from Siglavy Flora 1-75, Handler's mount in the early 70's, sold to Geoff Adcock of South Australia along with 4 Lipica mares in foal to SRS stallions. There were 2 iid stallions born, a Neapolitano and a Favory in 1975, 2 Pluto stallion imports (half-siblings) in the 70's along with 3 Hungarian mares, then nothing new until 2000.
My stallion is US bred, and since his importation in 2000, there have been 2 more stallions and a mare imported into Australia - Favory Naussica (France), a Pluto mare from Hungary, and Conversano Allegra V from Slovenia.
Please enjoy the photos, and leave your comments.
