Andreas, I saw some discussions behind the screens of Wiki about the rights of those ancient pictures. As far as I know the rights of those two series of those picture postcards of the 20-ies (Meixner's Besenfonds) and 30-ies are lying with the SRS or the Ministry. I suppose you can try to convince the moderators of Wiki that you are entitled to use them ?
Wenzel Zrust, told his pupil Hazslinszky a story about him bringing a Lipizzan stallion of the SRS to India. He was very impressed what he did see and experienced at the court of the Maharadja. The vessel departed from the K.u.k. Naval harbour in Fiume ( Slovenia) The captain of the ship was Miklós Horthy( Hungarian regent 1922-1940) He did mention that the horse and Zrust has had a very rough crossing.
Great info! I'm very interested in getting more info on Zrust and India! Can you provide more? To which court in India did the Lipizzan stallion go? What was the name of the stallion?
I have a lot more in several books, but these I could find instantly as JPG. The rest has to be scanned.
AntwortenLöschenThese are wonderful foto's.

Fascinating, thank you Atjan!
AntwortenLöschenWell... I just posted them, because Andreas asked for it, for his Wikipedia - uploads about the famous Oberbereiter Polak, Zrust and Lindenbauer.
