Favory Dagmar I

Favory Dagmar I is the new "Long Rein" at the Spanish Riding School!

We performed today, Dec-27-2009, for the first time!

He went very nice, though I had some problems finishing the double pirouettes. He wanted to do a third one on each rein :-)

Favory Dagmar I is my former "Levadeur" in hand. I work him on Long Rein since September.

  1. Another first!!! F.Dagmar has a great master in C. Dagmar to follow.
I guess it is better he wanted to do a third pirouette than to not want to do more. It shows he is willing and happy to work.

Kisses to you both and keep the "firsts" coming!!

  2. Congratulations !!! FavDag is a good excuse for me to return to Wien and watch my long reiners at work. It will be interesting to compare him working alongside Dagi and Seiberls Plutona. Andreas, is the pic above by the folks at Studio Wienblick on Augustinerstrasse?
I have a couple of their SRS prints. Very nice aren't they.

  3. Time to start researching airfares and penzions-- he sounds wonderful. Andreas, does it ever occur to you that you have the greatest job in the world? Happy New Year!--Best, Mary

  4. Oh my god Mary! You would never imagine how often I do! Specially in these moments and in the mornings when the "Winterreitschule" is still dark and quiet and the first group of horses gets prepared for training.

  6. What a nice Christmas present you are giving to the horse world, a new long rein performer! That illustration is stunning! You made my day!

  8. Andreas,
Congratulations on your new long rein horse!! Do you have another to take F. Dagmar's place in levade? We also have this print plus one with just a picture of the head of a long rein horse (you can tell by the bridle). I hope you have a very happy new year!

  9. Congratulations!
Now you can arrange a remake of that 70 years old picture of Oberbereiter Polak with his Favory : A levade on long reigns ;-)))

  10. Fantastic Andreas! That's great news. He looked good in September when we saw him in morning exercise, you have worked very hard to get him polished enough for a performance in just three months. Very well done to you both!

I am very envious indeed of your job, what you do each day is just a dream for most riders. And you make it look so easy!
