Hannah Zeitlhofer, our female eleve at the Spanish Riding School, made it today for the public performance! She rode a young stallion and did an outstanding job!
Wonderful progress in the history of the school, and fantastic job by Hannah and her trainers - must have been a wonderful moment for all, but especially her. Congratulations Hannah!
Thank you so much for sharing this outstanding first step into the future! We are all so proud of her! I hope to come see her in your performances one day! Bravo to all!
Good for Hannah, her Chief Rider and the young stallion.!! and the school, of course :) Will love to know the names of the other protagonists of her achieving :) Best to all.
May I join everyone in saying "congratulations" to Hannah. Thank you, also, for permitting Cheval Pratique to cover your training period here in France, Andreas. The photos and commmentary remain inspiring to this rider who is attempting to gain milimetre by milimetre in "légerté". Advice to me from a close friend, "Take back immediately when necessary, but learn to give before necessary and, aboveall, look upon your horse as though you were holding in hands and body a fine and fragile jewel."
Congratulations from me too! Well done! I would use the chance under this topic and ask if anyone could explain a little what should one do to be considered as a candidate to become an Eleve at the School? It is remarkably hard to find any information on that matter at all. I would be extremely thankful if there is anyone who could help.
Hi, I'll try and help, but don't quote me! :) I just get my info from reading. Applicants are supposed to be from 16-20 years of age, have a natural affinity for horses, be a member of an EU country (I read this somewhere, but this may have changed!) and speak fluent German. I think your legs are supposed to be longer than your torso because it helps with the balance. Riding experience is accepted, but it's better if you have no experience because there are no bad habits to break! I hope I helped a bit, I'm sorry if I've given you any wrong information.
Thanks a lot for answering! I've found all that out myself as well though, it gets tricky when you try to find any contact or address to whom you should talk to about giving in an application. The official web page gives the numbers of ticket desk etc which are probably not the places to contact in that matter :) Thanks anyway for your reply! Hopefully there'll be someone who knows a bit more.
batoonike, SRS website gives you all the necessary information company data: http://www.srs.at/allgemeines/impressum Managing Directors: Mag. Erwin Klissenbauer & Dkfm. Elisabeth Gürtler Director of Riding School: Ernst Bachinger
The question about who can become an Eleve and how to do it also popped-out during my visit to SRS. The answer covered all the info already given to you by lipizzaner2 plus info that your height should be 170cm, and that you should address your written application to the Director of Riding School. Even if you address your application just to SRS, it will get to the right hands :-)
I'm sure Andreas will correct all the info, he knows all about SRS
Congratulations to Hannah!
AntwortenLöschenI'm proud of you all, too. Every one.
Judy
