Yesterday we came home after this wonderful trip to Vienna and Piber. We really enjoyed the SRS. The friendship of all riders was overwhelming. Very interesting was to see the progression of the young stallions and the young riders. Very promising for the future!
In the afternoon we spent some time in the imperial archives and found really interesting old documents about the Lipizzaner breed, the oldest around 1700!
After Vienna we went to the national stud of Piber. Here we enjoyed the magnificent surrounding of Southwest Styria, but also the foals of 2010, the youngsters, the broodmares, and the oldtimers of Vienna, including good old Neapolitano Nima I (born 1979).
Although we travel to Vienna and Piber every year, it is always a pleasure!
I hope they have a wonderful visit in Wien! I am looking forward to meeting Atjan when he comes to the US this summer.
