Having returned from Vienna five days ago this travelogue selection of the Life Ball, varied architecture, Klimts The Kiss @ the Belvedere, the Weinviertel, Schoenbrunn, Volksgarten, Waltzing, Sangerknaben and something to do with those white horses.... ah, my heart delights in seeing it all again. Vienna is different. It is beautiful. Everyone should experience the city at least once in a lifetime . Thanks for sharing this Hausi !
The painting is from an artist named "de Witte" and belongs to the famous Lichtenstein Museum in Vaduz-Lichtenstein. Prince Lichtenstein was one of the most famous breeders for spanish horses in Europe. One of his studs was Eisgrub (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lednice). The horse on the painting is from Eisgrub or one of the other studs from Prince Lichtenstein.
na, nett, wie sich die Werbeleute Wien vorstellen- die Anleihe an den Münchener Carl Orff sei gestattet- das Nicht-werbe-wien ist doch viel spannender, von Geschichte und Geschichten durchzogen....der Paradaiser aus Italien, Palatschinken aus Rumänien, und das Telefonbuch spricht Bände... herrliches Gemisch der Länder, und doch- Wien halt. Viel Geist, viel Tiefe, a scheene Laich, Großartiges, Banales, rama dans, rama duri, rama dama und...wenn I mit meinem Dackel von Grinzing heimwärts wackel.... Mozartgekugel, Dreiviertelgewalzt linksrum mit Graf soundso, sterben, leben, sein...
